Guide for service business owners

A service business homepage should answer the customer's first five questions fast.

Most local service website visitors are not browsing for fun. They want to know what you do, where you do it, whether you look trustworthy, whether you handle their problem, and how to reach you.

Hero section

  • Name the trade and service area in the headline or first paragraph.
  • Use one primary CTA such as request a quote or call now.
  • Add a secondary CTA for visitors who want to see services.

Trust row

  • Use short proof points: years in business, local owner, licensed and insured, fast callbacks, photo estimates, review rating, or service guarantee.
  • Keep each proof point short enough to scan on mobile.

Service section

  • Show the main services as clear cards or rows.
  • Use customer-language labels, not internal jargon.
  • Link to dedicated service pages as the site grows.

Proof section

  • Add reviews, job photos, before and after notes, or short project examples.
  • Do not invent proof. A real small proof point is stronger than fake polish.

Contact/request section

  • Ask for the details that help the business respond: service needed, service area, phone, email, timing, and optional photos.
  • Tell visitors what happens after they submit.
